I work with people who are experiencing difficulties that show up as relationship problems (work, school or personal), depression, anxiety, extreme mood swings, hallucinations (both audio and visual), and self-esteem issues.  Additional and extensive specialized training allows me to work with people who have experienced trauma, grief and loss, relationship issues and personality disorders.

My therapeutic orientation draws from several theoretical approaches that I use according to the individual needs of each client but centers around strengths-based, person-centered theories and behavioral techniques (CBT and DBT).  I am a clinical hypnotherapist and I will use this technique if requested.

I am also a certified teletherapist utilizing the Theraplatform, which is a HIPAA compliant Video Conferencing service for teletherapy.  I use this service for individual teletherapy as well as group teletherapy, which allows me to conduct individual or group teletherapy sessions with multiple participants from the same or different locations using their unique and secure links. Great for family, marriage, and social group therapy!

Basic to my approach is a collaboration with and respect for the client and his or her ability to grow and change and discover what holds him or her back.  All aspects of a person’s life—family and relationship history, work, health, creative outlets, and spiritual beliefs—may need to be considered.  Therapy takes time and will require effort and commitment from you, the client.  The outcomes are variable and depend on the decisions you make and the actions you take.

I encourage all of my clients to call and check with their insurance companies regarding their mental health benefits/coverage. It is important to do this before your first appointment so that you have an understanding of your financial responsibility for services (co-pays, deductibles, etc.).
If you are informed by your insurance company that I am an out-of-network provider, some insurance companies will allow you to submit verification of services and will possibly assist with some kind of reimbursement. Again, I encourage you to obtain these details directly from your insurance provider.
I am in-network with the following insurance companies:

  • Medicare

  • Medicaid of Idaho

  • Blue Cross of Idaho/ Blue Cross- Blue shield

  • Molina

  • United Behavioral Health

  • AARP supplemental

  • Tri-Care
